Local Policing Priorities for Nailsea:

Consultation with the community has identified the following priorities in this neighbourhood.

  • Priorities:

1. To carry out extra area patrols in our ASB hotspots eg, Nowhere Woods, Skate Park, Millennium Park

Action taken

In relation to this objective, the Nailsea Beat team have conducted Proactive High Visibility Patrols in the known Hotspot areas. We have also ran Community Engagement Activities every Friday evening at Millennium Park during the Summer Months which has reduced incidents of ASB

2. Police are receiving above average reports of theft from motor vehicles in the area of Nailsea, Portishead & Clevedon. Increasing high visibility patrols to combat, deter and reassure.

Action taken

This continues to be an issue which is being addressed through High visibility Patrols and the (re)introduction of Neighbourhood Watch Schemes. In addition Bike marking sessions in association with Bike Register. Community Based Crime reduction Road Shows have also taken place.
